Road Driver – CDL

Job Description

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between service centers using tractor-trailer combinations.

Essential Functions:

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and complete necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate logs and comply with hazardous material regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays and equipment issues.
• Load/unload freight and perform other operational duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Class A CDL with necessary endorsements.
• 1 year of experience or completion of driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and DOT compliance.
• Basic communication skills and ability to lift heavy loads.

Working Conditions: Long-distance driving in various weather conditions, with potential overnight stays.

Pay: Starting at $28.95/hour with benefits including 401(k) and health insurance.
